Meet Dr. Craig Young, DMD, MS
Dr. Craig Young was born in Logan, Utah, and raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He graduated from Utah Valley University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Young earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine (Arizona) as the Class of 2020 Valedictorian. While at Midwestern University, Dr. Young earned the Outstanding Preclinical Student Award for two consecutive years, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon: Dr. William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, the Oral Health Scholarship Award from the Oral Health Foundation Pierre Fauchard Academy for his outstanding dental student leadership and academic achievement, and the American Dental Foundation Dental Student Scholarship. From there, Dr. Young attended a 2.5-year residency in orthodontics at the Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education and earned his Master of Science in Dentistry in 2022.
Dr. Young is a current member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He has earned Invisalign’s Aligner Intensive Fellowship Certification, the Academy of Laser Dentistry Certification, and the Global Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish.
Dr. Young is proud to use his education and training to give back to his community by offering free dental care to underserved children, veterans, and adults through events like Give Kids a Smile and Super Sealant Saturday. When Dr. Young is not offering top-quality care to his patients, he can be found woodworking, cooking, and pretending to be able to garden. He loves hiking, camping, traveling, and watching sports with his wife and four amazing children.
Dr. Young is slightly obsessed with FC Barcelona (it’s possible he hasn’t missed a game in a few years!) and loves watching Utah Jazz games. He’d love to talk to you about the latest game at your next appointment!
